What should I wear to my appointment?

Please wear something that is comfortable, but allow for the problem area to be exposed. For example if you have a knee problem please wear shorts and if you have a neck or shoulder problem please wear a vest top.

Do I need to bring anything?

Please bring anything that may assist our therapists in your treatment. If you are a runner and get pain when running then please bring your footwear to assist with the assessment.

If you have had previous scans, consultant appointments or treatments, please bring any letters with you.

If you are having your treatment through an insurance company, please bring the authorisation codes with you.

What will each session involve?

An initial appointment will consist of an assessment, where the therapist will listen to your concerns and gain a history of your injury, before completing a physical assessment. The therapist will then discuss your treatment options with you before progressing onto your treatment with your consent.

How long does an appointment last?

Initial Physiotherapy appointments tend to last 45 minutes in order to obtain all of the information surrounding your problem and make an educated diagnosis.

Follow up appointments last 30 minutes in order to review your progress and to continue your rehabilitation on to the next level.

Acupuncture sessions can range between 10-20 minutes depending on the stage of your treatment.

Where can I park?

Our Oakham clinic provides private parking for a small number of vehicles. During busy times other parking arrangements are available nearby, either roadside or in the pay and display car park at the nearby train station, however please be aware of and abide by any parking restrictions.

What is the cancellation policy?

Due to high demand, we ask for at least 24 hours notice if you wish to cancel or amend your booking so that we are able to offer your appointment time to other clients. You will be charged in full for all missed appointments and appointments cancelled without 24 hours’ notice. We are pleased to offer a 50% reduction to all cancellation fees if you rebook your appointment immediately.

Payments can be made by cash, debit or credit card.
